PALMER, Frances Lorraine, (Francie), of Roxburgh. On 2 June, 2025, we lost our wonderful Wife, Mum, Mother-in-law and Nana Francie, in her 89th year. Adored wife of the late Ron, so loved by Craig and Jill, Daryl and Barb, and grandchildren Annabelle and Will, and Oliver and Benji. The family would like to thank the Teviot Valley Rest Home, the team at Roxburgh Medical Centre, Hospice Staff and the local community for their support and wonderful care of Francie. WARDLE Margaret Elizabeth (nee Tunnicliffe) Margaret died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, in her 93rd year. Loving wife of Peter Wardle,  mother to Penny and Rob,  and mother-in-law to Kate Wardle. Much loved by her grandchildren Alexandra, Charlotte and Amelia Peter; and Annie Wardle, great grandmother to Gus and Finn Mackenzie, loved sister of Patricia, Bill, Geoffery and David and their respective partners Michael, Allison, Faye and Anne. A special thanks to the staff and carers at Leslie Groves Hospital, Dunedin, for their kindness to Margaret over the last 10 months. A Memorial Service for Margaret will be held in The Cellar Door, 143 Centennial Avenue, Alexandra at 2.00pm,on Thursday June 19. Margaret and Peter were happiest in the outdoors. BROOK, Rodney Desmond It is with great sadness, we advise that our dear Dad, Rodney Brook, passed away peacefully at Aspiring Care Centre in Wanaka in the early hours of Friday, March 21, 2025. Born on 30 November 1936, Rod was the dearly beloved husband of the late Fay Mary, much loved father of Stephen, David and Jackie, dearly loved grandfather of Juliet, Sophie, Jamie, Harry, William, baby Nicholas and baby Thomas, and father-in-law of Jacqui, dearly loved son of the late George and Laura Brook. Dad will be greatly missed, he had the warmest heart and endless capacity for love and good cheer. A life well lived, with an abundance of adventure, travel, humour and love. Among the many wonderful enduring memories of Dad’s life, we find consolation that he will be reunited with Fay and their beautiful daughter, Jackie. Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful, caring and loving staff of Aspiring Care Centre, Wanaka. A Memorial Service to celebrate Dad and Mum’s life will be held at a later date.
